Kid’s Jiu Jitsu
Our Kid’s Brazilian Jiu-jitsu is offered in our older kid’s Superkidz Martial Arts program to increase their awareness in protecting themselves just in case your child is on the ground being attack. This will give them an edge of how to subdue their attacker on the ground level. Although Grandmaster Taningco has trained in traditional jiu-jitsu with a lot of traditional throws, the ground techniques of BJJ jiujitsu is vital to one’s self-protection at all times.
Although knowledge is very important, safety comes first for every child in our jiu-jitsu kids program. We teach them the safety factor, the control factor and controlling their emotions while performing the techniques onto their partner. Fun and challenging class for each student that participates in this grappling jiu-jitsu for kids we teach. Each and every step of the way, they begin to understand the intricacies of escaping and controlling and eventually tapping their partner with the concern of safety first.
We teach the children how to escape on the different positions such as the mount, guard, side mount, turtle position, rear attack and knee mount. We also teach them the flow of jiujitsu from one position to the next. Our goals are to teach it in a safe way to increase the confidence of each child what those BJJ jiujitsu techniques can do to another person. Understanding the force of each technique enables the person to comprehend the safety side of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu training.
White belts and gold belts are eventually separated from the rest of the group, so each student is given more attention to the details discuss in each lesson and during their application moves of their Brazilian jiu-jitsu techniques.
